Please Note: The model number of your Polycom telephone can usually be found on a label stuck on the bottom of the phone.
These headsets have a dedicated modular headset jack. To fit a headset to these phones simply plug a headset and cord into this jack.
Please Note: This range of headsets has an idiosyncrasy that can seriously effect a headset installation. The default voice setting results in any voice level changes that you make during a call being reset at the end of the call. You HAVE to increase the voice level EVERY call - VERY FRUSTRATING. However, this feature can be corrected simply by changing a parameter in the SIP.CFG file or making a change to the default setting via the Polycom Web Configuration Utility:
Ensure that the parameter voice.volume.persist.headset is set to 1 (default is 0).
Plantronics corded:
Any H or HW series headset and a Polaris cable.
Plantronics Wireless (CS 500 and Savi 700 series):
Switch position A, Receive 3, Transmit 2, standard telephone cord wiring. These phones sit vertical, thus they are not really suited to the Plantronics HL10 handset lifter. Use the APP-51 EHS cables for remote call control.
GN Netcom / Jabra corded:
Any "direct-connect" headset and a standard (i.e. 8800-01-01) or Smart (i.e. 8011-99) cable. The Smart cable should be set to switch position 1.
Jabra Wireless:
All DECT wireless headsets. Add the Jabra EHS adapter (GN Netcom SKU 14201-17) for remote call control, away from your desk.
Sennheiser corded:
Any headset and a CSTD 01 cable.
ADD-COM corded:
Any headset and a "Blue" cord.
These headsets have both a dedicated modular headset jack (for fitting traditional analog headsets) and a multi-functional USB port (for connecting newer UC USB headsets). To fit a headset to these phones simply plug a headset and cord into this jack or USB port. If an analog headset is connected, the headset button glows GREEN. If a USB headset is connected, the headset button glows BLUE.

Any H or HW series headset and a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm bottom cord (if using headset jack). Any H series headset and a reversed Polaris cord - a reversed A10 cable may be required, if the transmission level is too soft. (if using handset jack).

Polaris corded:
Any headset with a standard (ie SP5021) bottom cord and 2.5mm adaptor (if using headset jack) or any headset and a reversed standard (ie SP5021)cord (if using handset jack).
