Panasonic Telephones

Panasonic Digital Proprietary Handsets KX-DT333, KX-DT343 & KX-TD346

These Panasonic phones come with a dedicated 2.5mm headset jack, found on the left side of your telephone. The phone SPEAKER key can be programmed to control your headset, when it is plugged into this jack.

To program these telephones, so that you can use this headset jack (i.e. use the SPEAKER button to answer and release calls):

  • Leave the handset on the phone, then
  • Press PROG softbutton (left hand button immediately under the phone LCD screen), then
  • press 6 1, then
  • ENTER button, then
  • press 1 for headset or 0 for speaker, then
  • ENTER or AUTO DIAL/STORE button, followed by
  • EXIT softbutton (or simply lift handset and replace it).

Using 2.5mm jack

Plantronics:
A HW series headsets with a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm cable.

Please Note: The Plantronics Entera range (HW111N and HW121N) will not work with these phones - they are too soft

Plantronics Wireless CS540, CS510, CS520, CS530, CS Legend & Savi 710, 720, 730, 740:
Switch position 1, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. Connect via 2.5mm to RJ cable or use HL10 Handset lifter

GN Netcom / Jabra:
Any "direct-connect" headset with a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm cable (8800-00-46).

Jabra Wireless Jabra Pro 920, 9450, 9460, 9470. Connect via 2.5mm to RJ cable or use GN1000 Handset lifter

Sennheiser:
Any headset and a CCEL 190-2 cord. These may be a little soft.

ADD-COM:
Any headset and a 2.5mm curly cord (ADDQD-06).

Using handset jack

You can also fit a headset to these Panasonic phones, by unplugging the handset and replace it with the appropriate headset.

Please Note: The wiring on these handsets is "polarity sensitive" (i.e. each transmit wire MUST go to the specific side of the RJ11).

Plantronics:
Any H or HW series headset and a reversed Polaris cable (or reversed A10 cable, if the transmission is too soft).

Plantronics Wireless CS540, CS510, CS520, CS530, CS Legend & Savi 710, 720, 730, 740:
Switch position 1, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring.

GN Netcom / Jabra:
Any "direct-connect" headset and a R cord.

Jabra Wireless Jabra Pro 920, 9450, 9460, 9470. Connect via 2.5mm to RJ cable or use GN1000 Handset lifter

Sennheiser:
Any headset and a CSTD 24 cord.

ADD-COM:
Any headset and BLACK (ADDQD-04) curly cord.

Panasonic Analogue Handsets KX-T123210, KX-T123220, KX-T123230, KX-T123235, KX-T123250, KX-T1232TD, KX-T2220, KX-T2221, KX-T2255, KX-T2260, KX-T2310, KX-T2315, KX-T2320, KX-T7030, KX-T7050A, KX-T7250AL & KX-T7450

To fit a headset to these Panasonic phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier or headset. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.

Please Note: The wiring on these handsets is "polarity sensitive" (i.e. each transmit wire MUST go to the specific side of the RJ11).

Plantronics: Any H or HW series headset and an M22 amplifier. An alternative is any H or HW series headset and an A10-16 cord (this cord MUST have a reversed RJ11).

Plantronics Wireless CS540, CS510, CS520, CS530, CS Legend & Savi 710, 720, 730, 740:
Switch position A, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. Can also use HL10 Handset lifter.

GN Netcom / Jabra: Any "direct-connect" headset and an R cord.

Sennheiser: Any headset and a CSTD 24 cord.

ADD-COM: Any headset and a Voyager amplifier.

Panasonic Analogue Handsets KX-T7130, KX-T7220AL, KX-T7230AL, KX-T7235AL & KX-T7250

To fit a headset to these Panasonic phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier or headset. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.

Please Note: The wiring on these handsets is "polarity sensitive" (i.e. each transmit wire MUST go to the specific side of the RJ11).

To program these telephones for hands-free headset use (i.e. use the SP-PHONE button to answer and release calls):

  • Press PROGRAM button, then
  • 9 9 9 then
  • 2 for headset or 1 for handset, then
  • STORE button, followed by
  • PROGRAM button.

Plantronics: Any H or HW series headset and an M22 amplifier. An alternative is any H or HW series headset and an A10-16 cord (this cord MUST have a reversed RJ11).

These Panasonic phones come with a dedicated 2.5mm headset jack. The SPEAKER key is programmed to control the headset.

To program these telephones so that you can use this headset jack:

  • Press PROGRAM button or PROG softbutton, then
  • 6 1, then
  • ENTER button, then
  • 1 for headset or 0 for speaker, then
  • ENTER or AUTO DIAL/STORE button, followed by
  • EXIT softbutton or PROGRAM button.

Plantronics: Any H or HW series headset and a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm cable when using the headset jack. If using the handset jack, you require a reversed Polaris cable (or reversed A10 cable, if the transmission is too soft).

Plantronics Wireless CS540, CS510, CS520, CS530, CS Legend & Savi 710, 720, 730, 740:
Switch position A, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. Can also use HL10 Handset lifter.

GN Netcom / Jabra: Any "direct-connect" headset, a standard cord and a 2.5mm plug.

Sennheiser: Any headset and a CCEL 190-2 cord. For direct connect into the handset jack a CSTD 24 cord is suitable.

Please Note: If your Panasonic telephone system has been installed with conservative settings, the speaker on the SH and SC series headsets can be VERY soft.

ADD-COM: Any headset and a 2.5mm curly cord (ADDQD-06).

Panasonic Handsets KX-T7665

To fit a headset to these Panasonic phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate headset.

Please Note: The wiring on these handsets is "polarity sensitive" (i.e. each transmit wire MUST go to the specific side of the RJ11).

Plantronics: Any H or HW series headset and a reversed Polaris cable (or reversed A10 cable, if the transmission is too soft). These are also Wireless compatible (e.g. Plantronics CS540, CS510, Savi 740, etc).

GN Netcom / Jabra: Any "direct-connect" headset and an R cord.

Sennheiser: Any headset and a CSTD 24 cord.

ADD-COM: Any headset and a BLACK (ADDQD-04) curly cord.

Panasonic Cordless Handsets

To connect a headset to these Panasonic phones requires that they have a dedicated 2.5mm headset jack.

KX-TG8322AL

Plantronics: A H series headset and most HW series headsets with a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm cable.

Please Note: The Plantronics Entera range (HW111N and HW121N) will not work with these phones - they do not have any transmission

GN Netcom / Jabra: Any "direct-connect" headset, a standard cord and a 2.5mm plug.

Sennheiser: Any headset and a CCEL 190-2 cord.

ADD-COM: Any headset and a 2.5mm curly cord (ADDQD-06).
