Cisco Telephones

Cisco IP phones

Please Note: The model number of your Cisco telephone can usually be found on a label stuck on the bottom of the phone.

Cisco Unified IP Phones 6921, 6941 & 6961

These phones have a dedicated headset port.

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset with a Vista cable.

Plantronics CS60, CS70N & SupraPlusWireless:
Switch position 4, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. They are also compatible with the Plantronics HL10 handset lifter.

Jabra/GN Netcom corded:
Any headset with a "B" cord (part no: 8800-01-37) or 8800-02 cord (has yellow sleeve near the RJ connector) - these direct connect via the headset port.

Jabra Wireless or Bluetooth:
Any headset however, the headset to telephone cord must be transposed (i.e. same as Plantonics Vista cord wiring.

Sennheiser corded:
Any headset top and a CSTD 08 cable- these direct connect via the headset port.

Cisco Unified IP Phones 7902(G), 7905(G), 7906(G), 7910(G), 7911(G) & 7912(G)

To fit a headset to these phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate headset and direct connect cord. If you need to switch between headset and handset an optional switchbox can be used - in this case both the headset and handset cords plug into the switchbox.

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset and a reversed Polaris cord. An alternative is any HW series headset and a M22 amplifier.

Plantronics CS60, CS70N & SupraPlusWireless:
Switch position 1, Receive 3, reversed telephone cord wiring.

GN Netcom corded:
Any direct connect headset and a reversed direct connect cord (part no: 8800-01-06). An alternative is any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier.

Sennheiser corded:
Any headset top and a CSTD 24 cable. Also recommended is the headset/handset switchbox (UI 710)

ADD-COM corded:
Any headset and a Red cord.

Cisco Unified IP Phones 7940G, 7941G, 7960G, 7961G,

To fit a headset to these phones, you can: unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier. or connect via a dedicated headset port.

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset with a Vista cable. Please note that the H81-CIS, H91-CIS or H101-CIS (direct connect) headsets are no longer available in Australia.

Plantronics CS60, CS70N & SupraPlusWireless:
Switch position 4, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. They are also compatible with the Plantronics HL10 handset lifter.

GN Netcom corded:
Any headset with a "B" cord (part no: 8800-01-37) or 8800-02 cord (has yellow sleeve near the RJ connector) - these direct connect via the headset port.

Jabra Wireless:
Switch position B. Plug into headset port. These phones are not suitable for EHS

GN Wireless or Bluetooth:
Any headset however, the headset to telephone cord must be transposed (i.e. same as Plantonics Vista cord wiring.

Any headset top and a CSTD 08 cable- these direct connect via the headset port.

ADD-COM corded:
Any headset top and a Red cord - these direct connect via the headset port.

To fit a headset to these phones, you can: unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier or connect via a dedicated headset port.

Switch position 4, Receive 3, standard telephone cord wiring. They are also compatible with the Plantronics HL10 handset lifter or the APU-72 Electronic Handset Lifter.

Any headset with a "B" cord (part no: 8800-01-37) or 8800-02 cord (has yellow sleeve near the RJ connector) - these direct connect via the headset port.

Cisco SPA500 Series IP Phones (SPA501G, SPA502G, SPA504G, SPA508G, SPA509G, SPA525G & SPA525G2)

These phones have a dedicated 2.5mm headset port. Non-mainstream headsets will require an RJ to 2.5mm adaptor cable.

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset with a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm Vista bottom cable.

GN Netcom corded:
Any headset top and a standard cable with a 2.5mm plug.

Sennheiser corded:
Any headset top and a CCEL 191-2 cable.

Cisco Cordless IP Phones 7920

These telephones have a 2.5mm dedicated headset jack.

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset with a Quick Disconnect to 2.5mm cable.

Sennheiser corded:
Any headset top and a 2.5mm CCEL 192 cable.

IP Communicator

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset and a DA Series Adaptor.

Plantronics CS60, CS70N & SupraPlusWireless:
A CS60-USB Wireless headset.

IP Softphone

Plantronics corded:
Any HW series headset and a DA Series Adaptor.

Plantronics CS60, CS70N & SupraPlusWireless:
A CS60-USB Wireless headset, with a minimum Cisco Softphone version of 1.3.
