NEC NEAX Telephones
Please Note: The model number of your NEC NEAX telephone can usually be found on a label stuck on the bottom of the phone.
NEAX 2000 IPS & 2400 IPX PABX
Consoles/Switchboards
All NEAX PABX switchboards can be fitted with headsets. Use of headsets is critical for the efficient performance of your switchboard operator(s).
SN 611 (2400SDS)
To fit a headset to this switchboard, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and a M12 amplifier (position 5, transmit 9)
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Voyager amplifier.
HA 630Z & SN 626
To fit a headset to this switchboard, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate Two Pronged amplifier or amplifier and Two Pronged adaptor.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and a P10H amplifier.
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Two Prong amplifier.
Telephones
Dterm 1
To fit a headset to these NEC NEAX phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate headset.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and a Polaris cable.
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a standard cord.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a BLUE cord.
Dterm 11B & Dterm 111
To fit a headset to these NEC NEAX phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and an M12 amplifier (Switch Setting 5, Transmit 10). Ensure that the handset volume is low - use the M12 volume control (this is to prevent squealing)
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Voyager amplifier.
Dterm Series e & Dterm Series i
To fit a headset to these NEC NEAX phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate headset.
- Plantronics:
- Any P series headset and a Polaris cord.
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a standard cord.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a BLUE Cord.
NEAX 7400 ICS (110 / 120 / 140 / 160 / 180) PABX
Consoles/Switchboards
All PABX switchboards can be fitted with headsets. Use of headsets is critical for the efficient performance of your switchboard operator(s).
HA 630Z, SN 626 & SN 708
To fit a headset to this NEC NEAX switchboard, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and a M12 amplifier (position 1, transmit 2). No batteries required. Ensure that the handset volume is low - use the M12 volume control (this is to prevent squealing)
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier. Requires a two prong adaptor.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Voyager amplifier.
SN 694
To fit a headset to this NEC NEAX switchboard, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. If the amplifier is not Two Pronged then you must use a Two Prong adaptor.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series headset and a M12 amplifier (position 1, transmit 2). No batteries required. Ensure that the handset volume is low - use the M12 volume control (this is to prevent squealing). Requires a K plug.
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier. Requires a two prong adaptor.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Voyager amplifier. Requires a K plug.

To fit a headset to these NEC NEAX phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.

- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a BLUE cord.

Dterm 8DC, 16DS, 16DD & 24DS
To fit a headset to these phones, unplug the handset and replace it with the appropriate amplifier. The handset cord then plugs into the amplifier.
- Plantronics:
- Any H series heaset and an M12 amplifier (Switch Setting 5, Transmit 8) OR any P series headset and an NEC ADA-J headset adaptor.
- GN Netcom:
- Any headset and a GN 8000 amplifier or GN 8210 digital amplifier.
- ADD-COM:
- Any headset and a Voyager amplifier OR any headset with an NEC ADA-J headset adaptor.
