Ericsson was a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally. Over 1,000 networks in 140 countries utilize their network equipment and 40 percent of all mobile calls are made through their systems.
Ericsson's origins date back to 1876. Their headquarters were located in Stockholm, Sweden.
In 2008, Canadian company Aastra completed the largest acquisition in its history with the purchase of the Ericsson Enterprise Communication Business. This acquisition firmly established Aastra as a major player in the Enterprise Communications market.
